
Colleen Mae Ballinger (born November 21, 1986) is an American comedian and YouTuber, actress, writer and singer. Her Internet Miranda Sings character is her most famous. She has shared videos of her character on YouTube and also performed her solo comedy routine in theaters across the globe. In 2016, she also created and starred in Haters Back Off, a Netflix original series that focuses on the character. Ballinger developed the jolly eccentric, egotistical and incompetent character to mock the numerous YouTube videos of singers who sing poorly trying to get into the show business. Together, her YouTube channels have garnered over 5 billion viewers. Miranda Sings' channel has more followers than 10 million, with more than 13 Million TikTok followers, and 6,000,000 Instagram followers. Ballinger was awarded an Teen Choice Award for Web Star: Comedy and a Streamy Award for Best Actress. 4. The Hollywood Reporter named her one of its Top 25 Digital Stars. She was ranked No. 5 on Forbes magazine's 2017 list of the top influencers in entertainment. Ballinger has performed as an actor and singer on films, television recording, television and on online shows. She has appeared in Escape the Night (2018-2019), as Dawn in the Broadway musical Waitress (2019), and guest-starred in Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (2014). She was also a guest on The Tonight Show (2016-17). Ballinger has also written two best-selling books, which were written with Miranda's voice. Selp-Helf (2015) and My Diarrhe (2018). Erik Stocklin is her husband. Ballinger moved to New York City in 2010 to follow performing opportunities however she returned to the West coast in 2012 when she realized that to maximize her YouTube audience, she needed to collaborate with the YouTuber community in Los Angeles. In July of 2015, following some time of dating, Ballinger and Joshua Evans wed in California. In two separate YouTube videos, Evans and Ballinger announced that they were divorcing in September of 2016.
