Paula Patton is an actress and producer well-known for her leading roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. While growing up in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, Patton had many goals. Her mother enjoyed watching films and inculcated a love for movies in her daughter as well. Paula took part in school co-curricular activities and was particularly interested in acting. Her favorite part was performing in stage productions together with her fellow students. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided acting was her chosen career. She attended the University of Southern California for an intensive summer program and was enthralled by the experience. The program was awarded to her by PBS to produce documentaries over a period of three months. She began her career as a TV production assistant after completing this assignment. After that, she started producing documentaries. Even though she loved what she did however, she always wanted the role of an actress. The path to acting began when she had minor roles with Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in a number of popular films and television shows.
