Dolly-Parton

born on January. 19th, 1946 Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of life by using her vivid and broad imagination. Before learning how to write and read Dolly Parton was composing her own music. In the year she turned 8years old, she purchased her first electric guitar and started singing at a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. That same year, she recorded her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small label. She made a name on the local circuit while at high school, but always dreamed of having a bigger stage. In 1964, the day that followed her graduation from high school her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her first two charting albums from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner began looking for new female vocalists for his television show that was syndicated around the same as the time. Parton was offered the gig and in the year 1967, she signed to RCA Records in 1968 and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. In 1974, she quit The Wagoner's Show due to the popularity of her own songs such as Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was outstripping their joint releases. Parton's song, I Will Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), was able to reach the No. #1 spot following their broke up. The song of Parton in 1974."I Will Always Love You" peaked at the No.
