Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu, an American voice actress, director, and singer, is also an outstanding actress. Being a smart and beautiful actress, Lucy Liu serves as a role-model for many Asian actors working in Hollywood who wish to make it big. After a series of initial appearances in some popular series she gained fame when she joined the team of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. She translated her newfound fame into roles that were filmed on the large screen with Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. For Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave a stunning performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. In the meanwhile, she was playing lead roles in some films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was voice actor for animated films including Kung Fu Panda. The small screen role of Mia Mason in Cashmere Mafia failed to produce results. Southland was a critically acclaimed series of police dramas which had Liu playing recurring roles, helped her reestablish her status as a performer. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order so that she doesn't get stereotyped within an industry that is highly competitive. Liu has taken on her Chinese heritage but she doesn't allow it to hinder her creative abilities.
